Time to learn – School room

©MandyLynne schoolroom

I have been thinking alot lately about creating an environment of learning in my home.
From the games we play, to the books we read, and music we listen to.
I am trying to be more intentional about our time, and make it as educational &  fun as possible.
We changed things up a little in our schoolroom.
Creating a corner for reading, a music station, and a table for creative projects.
We love spending time here!

Susan Benson - I Just LOVE your art! I bought some of your pieces through Target last year and was thrilled to find you at Etsy. I too am a baby Etsy seller and love all things vintage. When I homeschooled my younger children we loved library days where we filled up laundry baskets filled to the rim with books from many categories: a biography, a country, a craft, a fine art book, fiction and fun. We were always amazed how the nonfiction books became favorites. Also, lapbooks are a great way to be creative. Add timelines, maps, quotes, character sketches, vocabulary, settings, photos, captions, biographies... I used manila file folders; kids decorated the front cover with topic pictures or illustrations. The inside had the above details to show mastery. blessings, susan sugarbeans.org etsy: sewsugarbeans

Deborah - I'm just starting to homeschool my preschoooler after teaching 4K at a private preschool. I've got so many ideas but nothing done yet. So far I like the blog "Confessions of a Homeschooler". I love the fabric letters. Please share how you made them stick to the chalkboard... I'd love to know!

mandy - Hi, Thank you for sharing! I took a photo down.. with the letters laying flat on the chalk board. They do not stick.

Judy Morgan - I LOVE how you are so creative in making your home a special place & how you make learning fun! Always enjoy your blog.
