From the beginning of Dec. my kids started their countdown.
They put alot of love into cards &  handmade gifts for Jason, I and each other.
All the small traditions we look forward to make the holiday feel very special!

{polaroid journal}

I finally finished a small polaroid scrapbook that I have been planning to do for awhile.

It’s all about Autumn.. special memories.. her favorite toys, dresses, color, activities..
alot of journaling about the many ways she made us laugh &  smile at the age of 2-4.
It’s about to be wrapped and placed under the tree for Christmas....

This week’s project is a Christmas wreath made from fabric leaves and felted pompoms.

My sister’s and I  had a fab weekend to ourselves… sewing, knitting, felting, watching good movies, and eating too much food.. :D
I’m still smiling and I have many new projects to share!

Also, a huge THANK YOU to all who participated in last...

garden dress

I used some extra fabric leftover from my pillow project for a handmade jumper for my daughter.
It looks perfect for summer play, but  I think I will layer it and add leggings underneath for winter.
Brr… it’s finally getting cold here. Time to hibernate inside and think of some winter crafts… maybe a giveway too!  :)

a place for thinking

I don’t know who is happier about this corner.. the boy or the mom! :) My son has been hinting, suggesting, begging me for a desk for his homework, art, and writing.
Especially with Christmas coming.. it was the only thing on his list.  I recently found a flea market bargain and we both sanded, painted...

pillow talk

A new pillow for my couch this week! I found a small patch of vintage fabric off etsy and repurposed some trim from an old skirt.
I’m so inspired right now by the combination of retro florals.  I also threw a vintage bedspread over the back of the couch for more color.

soda pop lids

Happy Tuesday :)  A simple project this week.  I have a small collection of soda pop lids that I put to good use for my boy’s room.
They turned out to be a great fix for displaying things on a cork board.  I used a magnet & super glue to hold the tack in place on...

{flower fairy}

One vintage pillowcase, inspiration from a children’s book, $10 supplies from Hobby Lobby, and one very happy flower fairy!

The Song of
The Marigold Fairy
Great Sun above me in the sky,
So golden, glorious, and high,
My petals, see, are golden too; They shine, but cannot shine like you.

I scatter many seeds around;
And where they fall upon the ground,
More...
